Account and billing

Plan, billing and credits

Your plan, payments and AI credits, and what happens after a refund or chargeback.

Where to find it

Plan and billing shows the plan, seats, billing period, payment and statement. Usage and credits shows this period's use, the AI credit balance and the credit history.

Each paid month includes AI credits. They last until the end of that month.

If a month is refunded

A refund takes back the same share of that month's AI credits: half the money back, half the month's credits. Unused credits go first.

If you had already used more credits than you kept paying for, the difference shows as a balance you owe on Usage and credits. New AI work waits until your next credits repay it.

A refund does not end your plan. To stop paying, cancel the plan.

If support refunds you as a goodwill gesture, they can clear the balance so you owe nothing.

If a credit pack is refunded

The same rule applies to a pack: the refunded share of its credits is taken back, unused credits first, and any used part shows as a balance you owe.

If part of a pack is refunded before its credits arrive, you get the credits for the part you kept.

If you dispute a charge with your bank

While the bank looks into it, that month's or that pack's unused credits are held and cannot be spent.

If the bank decides in your favor, the plan you paid with that charge ends at once and the account moves to Free. Your data stays. That month's credits are taken back, and any used part shows as a balance you owe.

If the bank decides in Specify's favor, the held credits are released.

If you had a complimentary plan

A complimentary plan includes AI credits each month, like a paid one. When you start paying, your first paid month's credits replace what is left of the complimentary month's. Credits you already used stay used.

If a payment reaches us late

If you paid on time but the payment reached Specify after your billing month moved on, that month's credits are added when it arrives and last until the end of your current billing month.
